Employee groups and volunteers were recognized for their contributions to United Way and to the community at United Way of Henderson County's Volunteer Recognition Reception held April 22nd, at the Henderson Country Club.
Allocations Volunteers, VITA Volunteers, Success by Six Volunteers and Volunteer Players, were all recognized for their hard work and support and commitment to United Way of Henderson County. Each were presented with a Distinguished Service Award Certificate recognizing their volunteerism and their service to the community. With a volunteer army of 100+ strong, United Way of Henderson County is able to make huge strides toward bettering the community through programs such as VITA and Success by Six. Allocations volunteers ensure that donor dollars are spent on programs and services germaine to the community's critical priority needs. Without the support and commitment of the United Way volunteer, it would be impossible to continue the important work we are currently involved in.
Providing resources for programs and services is equally vital to the United Way's mission. The Volunteer Recognition Reception recognized the Volunteer Players for their role in resource development as well as bringing the United Way to the forefront of the general public by appealing to audiences of all ages with the Volunteer Player Pantomime.
