United Way of Henderson County is happy to announce the addition of Phyllis D. Crafton to its staff! Phyllis will be serving in the capacity of Marketing Consultant and will be utilizing her considerable expertise in the field of marketing and resource development in an effort to boost pledge dollars for the United Way's annual campaign drive.
Phyllis is a long time supporter and advocate for United Way of Henderson County, serving in various volunteer positions over the years, including Business and Industry Division Associate Chair and Chair, Campaign Cabinet Chair, and as a member of the United Way of Henderson County Board of Directors.
Over the past ten years, Phyllis has co-produced and co-directed the Volunteer Players' Pantomime Show which has generated close to $70,000 in ticket sales, all of which have gone directly to the general fund for distribution to local organizations providing services and programs for Henderson County.
In 2002, she was the named recipient of the Gordon B. Tittle Award, given by United Way to volunteers who have exhibited extreme commitment and support for United Way of Henderson County, and to the community.
Phyllis plans to spend at least one day at the United Way office, but, will primarily be working in the field. She is looking forward to sharing with individuals and corporations her passion for United Way and its important work in the community.
