My name is Melissa Clements and I am currently the Executive Director of United Way of Henderson County. I have been in this role since March 2015. While in this position I have strived to empower our community to see the need to move our community forward through Education, Health, Financial Stability, and Workforce Development. My hometown is Henderson County Kentucky and I love my community. I graduated from Brescia University in May 2004.
Before working for United Way of Henderson County I was the Director of Operation for the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club in Owensboro Kentucky for 8 years. I was privileged to be able to graduate from the Advanced Leadership Program with the school of Michigan in November 2011. I proudly worked with over 3000 youth between the ages 6-18. I was part of a National organization that was helping youth become strong, confident and driven individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals through Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles.
I am currently part of the Henderson County Lions Club, Talent 2025 member through Poverty Collective, Deaconess Henderson Hospital Advisory Board, Founding Board member for the Henderson Boys & Girls Club, Past President of Habitat for Humanity of Henderson County, Homeless Coalition Council founding member and current member, and member of the Deaconess Healthy Henderson Coalition. I also am a 2016 graduate of the Henderson Leadership Initiative. I have been happy to serve my community in these capacities.
My greatest achievements are my two children, Grady who is 12 years old and Madelyn who is 8 years old. I have a loving husband, Drew and beautiful family that I adore and love very much. God has blessed me.
