EITC Money for Qualified Tax Payers. United Way of Henderson County, in partnership with the Green River Asset Building Coalition (GRABC) will once again provide a Volunteer Tax Assistance Site (VITA) in Henderson County for the 2009/2010 tax year.

Tax preparation is free of charge. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have your taxes prepared and possibly receive a refund of up to $4,824.

There will also be opporunties for you and your family to learn more about banking services available to you, savings plans that may assist you in purchasing your first home, a new automobile, or secure a college education for you or a family member.

 VITA SITE LOCATION AND DATES
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Site will be located at the Henderson Housing Authority, 111 South Adams Street, in downtown Henderson, this year. The site will be open beginning Tuesday, February 2, 2010, and will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., through Saturday, April 10, 2010. The site will run with the school schedule. If schools are cancelled due to inclement weather, the site will be closed as well.Â

Persons qualifying for free tax service include any individual with an annual income of less than $31,000, and families with an annual income of less than $51,000.
