United Way of Henderson County Welcomes Kelsi Dunham as Community Impact Manager
Henderson, Ky. (August 8, 2022) – United Way of Henderson County (UWHC) welcomes Kelsi Dunham to its team as Community Impact Manager. In her new role, Dunham will coordinate and execute United Way of Henderson County’s community impact programs as well as provide support for fundraising and event planning.
“We are excited to welcome Kelsi to the team at United Way of Henderson County,” says Melissa Clements, Executive Director. “Kelsi’s deep roots in our community and past experiences working with our community partners have equipped her to step into this role, help us identify gaps in service and provide innovative solutions to meet unmet needs here in Henderson County.”
Dunham is a native of Henderson, where she has been an active member of the community for many years. She graduated from Georgetown College in 2020 with a double major in Business Administration and Communications and Media Studies and minor in Health Care Administration.
She served as the Director of the Henderson Employee Relief Fund (HERF) during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, which helped more than 750 Henderson County families affected by layoffs and put nearly $380,000 back into the community. Next, she served two terms with AmeriCorps Homes for All working with Henderson Christian Community Outreach.
“I am beyond excited to continue to work with all of the incredible organizations that are empowering our community and the businesses that shape Henderson into this amazing town we call home,” says Dunham. “I look forward to using my passions to engage our community through organizational collaboration and empowerment and further the work and impact of United Way of Henderson County.”
Dunham is now pursuing her master’s degree in Nonprofit Development from Indiana University’s Lilly Famliy School of Philanthropy as well as graduate certificates from The Fund Raising School. She also serves as the Youth Director and Deacon at Community Baptist Church, the secretary for the Rotary Club of Henderson, and is a Riverboat Tour Guide for Henderson.
